FAQ's
What does Radical Self Care actually mean?
Radical Self Care refers to the act of prioritising your wellbeing and needs over others. We think of it as filling your own cup so you can give to others from the overflow. Acts of self care can be physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.
Where did the name Radical Self come from?
It's both a nod to the radical self care movement as well a hint of what you'll uncover as you cultivate your own beautiful self care practice - your most radical self! Every product we stock is intended to be used as a tool to bring you closer to yourself.
What do you mean by "Inclusive?"
We use the term inclusive to refer to the fact that our product range considers people outside of the scope of mainstream white heteronormativity and gender.
You're selling a Queer Crystal Kit. If you're inclusive, why don't you stock any other LGBTQIA+ Kits?
Our Queer Crystal Kit is the first kit I've created, born out of an undeniable lack of representation for LGBTQIA+ people in the wellness space. As a Queer person, I feel comfortable designing a kit that speaks to being Queer. It's important to note here that I also acknowledge no single person can attempt to represent an entire group, so instead I encourage you to take what resonates and leave the rest.
It doesn't feel aligned to create kits on behalf of any other identities. Instead, I feel those kits should be created in direct collaboration with people from those groups. My vision is to work with a variety of people in the LGBTQIA+ community in order to create kits that reflect the full spectrum of experiences. If you feel like you could contribute to the designing of a kit, please email hello@radicalself.com. I'd love to hear from you.
